I first met Eveline in March 2019. On that occasion we were at Batswood Arboretum enjoying the Spring colour. Click here to view the photos from last year’s shoot. This time around, we met at Crickley Hill and delighted in the gorgeous colours of Autumn. Time flies when you’re an ickle person and I couldn’t believe how much she had changed!

Eveline loved playing leaf throws with Mum and Dad, peek-a-boo from behind my favourite tree, walking along fallen trunks and being thrown high up into the air! The shoot lasted for 60 minutes and as with many of my shoots with little people, felt more like a play date than a photo shoot. Always great fun. Here are some of the highlights. All images are included in my 60 minute sessions.

Emma booked me for this 30 minute photo shoot at Crickley Hill with her husband and their young son. It was bitterly cold but despite that, little Ewen still had some smiles to share. As can sometimes happen on shoots, little ones just aren’t always in the mood, and this was the case towards the end of the shoot. Despite a few tears, I was still able to capture some lovely shots, which Mum and Dad were very pleased with.

I do lots of family on location shoots at Crickley Hill, and it never disappoints, whatever the weather! For today’s shoot we were blessed with beautiful sunshine, which isn’t always the easiest medium to work with. However, there was a slight haze which provided a great light. The boys had a super time, running along the narrow footpaths. Mum and Dad would occasionally grab hold of them for a quick family picture before they were off again exploring!

As I mentioned in my previous blog post, Crickley Hill is a super spot for family photos. On this occasion the weather wasn’t so favourable so we headed into the woods to start with. There is a great spot that I’ve become familiar with, it has a large fallen tree and young and old all seem to enjoy clambering over it! It’s a great, natural prop! I’ve photographed Roz and her family before, (click here to see the photos from that shoot) so it was great to see them again for a larger family outing.

Crickley Hill is a great spot for a family photo shoot. It has the breathtaking view, which makes for a very dramatic backdrop, and when the weather isn’t so favourable, the woods provide shelter. On this occasion the sun was trying to peep through and the clouds were clearing so we took advantage of the stunning scenery. The children loved being thrown into the air and on top of the hill, I’m sure it must have felt as if they were flying!

Penny's 60th

Hayley booked me for a 40 minute photo shoot to celebrate her Mum’s 60th birthday. Her two sons, Jake and Oliver, were great fun, as were the adults! Lots of silliness and plenty of smiles. Just what I like!

Heather contacted me back in January to book a family photo shoot with her family and her brother’s family. They wanted to give the photos to their Mum as a surprise for her 60th birthday.

We met at Crickley Hill and kept to the woods as it was so blustery and cold. The children were soon having a lovely time playing on an old fallen tree, which makes a great place for photos. With the children relaxed I was able to take lots of candid pictures, as well as a few family groups.

Last Thursday morning I met Emma and Sam and their three young children - Nora, Roland and Arthur. We met at Crickley Hill and boy was it sunny!! Now, I don't like to complain about the sunshine, but a little more cloud cover would have been nice so as to avoid those strong shadows and possible squinting.

As it was, the children had a super time frolicking around in the Springtime sunshine and barely stopped to breath for the entire 40 minutes!! We did manage to get the two older ones to sit still just long enough for a photo with their baby brother - much to Mum and Dad's delight!!
