Lottie

Last Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of photographing gorgeous Lottie. As a newborn photographer in Cheltenham, I see lots of beautiful little bundles and each of these tiny people have such fantastic personalities. Lottie was no exception. 

Despite sleeping through much of the photo shoot, we did get a few pics of her awake. She was ever so amenable too as we gently manoeuvred her into various different support aids, making sure all the while that she was comfortable and snuggly. Here are some of the highlights.

Chester

Today I photographed Chester, who is just a week old in these photos. I love taking pictures of babies, they each have such big personalities despite being so little! 

Chester slept through most of the photo shoot, but we did manage to get a few pictures of him awake. Mum and Dad also wanted a picture outside their front door as they are moving to Bristol soon. They built the house themselves and wanted a picture for the record.

Millie & Bump!

A couple of weeks ago I met up with Jess, Rob and their daughter Millie for the bump part of their bump to birth photo shoot package. 

I suggested Park Campus in Tivoli, which is always a brilliant place for photo shoots. It's really quiet and very pretty. The colours are spectacular at this time of year, plus it's got a lake and great trees for climbing. What more could you ask for!

Rob wasn't keen on being in any of the photos, so it was just the girls. Millie was a sweetie and loved playing peep-o with me! She and her Mum enjoyed a wonderful 30 minutes exploring the grounds and posing for a few informal pics.

Isabella & Bump!

It was a really busy Saturday with a total of seven photo shoots. Four of them were in Pittville Park, which is ever so beautiful at this time of year.

I really enjoyed this bump to birth shoot with Isabella and her Mum and Dad. Bump is due around Christmas time so I'll share the pictures from that shoot when it happens. Ted

It felt like I was in Cirencester quite a lot last week! I had a meeting with Hope for Tomorrow, a wonderful charity fighting for such a good cause, a wedding and this newborn photo shoot.

I've photographed this family before, when Kitty, (who is now big sister to baby Ted) was about 18 months old. She's grown up lots in the last last year or so and it was great to see her again and meet her new baby brother! 

Ted was fabulous throughout the relaxed and informal 60 minute photo shoot. There were pauses for nappy changes, feeds and soothing and then for the rest of the time he was very happy to be gently positioned in various props and support aids.

Jesse

Today I photographed Jesse. He was such a cutie! I photographed Zac and his Mum and Dad last year and recently bumped into Darren, Zac's Dad, in the park again this year whilst working on another shoot! He mentioned they were expecting their second baby and would be in touch - well here he is! I hope you like the photos.

Aneira

On Monday I popped round to Katharine's house to photograph her little bundle of joy, Aneira. She was very sweet and enjoyed plenty of hugs with her Mummy and Daddy and big brother Joshua!

Nimah

I don't think I've ever photographed a baby as sleepy as gorgeous Nimah, (pronounced Neave!) My newborn photo shoots are 60 minutes long and despite many attempts by her Mummy and Daddy to try and wake her up to get some pictures of her with her eyes open, she snoozed right through! I wasn't complaining though, there's something about a sleeping baby - they always look so happy and content and that often comes across in the photos.

Jasmine and Lily Bump!

Final shoot of the day from last Sunday over at the beautiful Barnwood Arboretum in Gloucester. Li and Richard have booked one of my bump to birth packages and this was their bump shoot!

Jasmine, their daughter, was a delight to photograph as she ran around smelling all the flowers. She loved dressing up as Nurse Jasmine for one or two of the photos too and the bubbles at the end were the icing on the cake for her I think! Li was very keen to have a few pics of her with her bump 'out' too so we pulled Jasmine in to a few of the photos with her tummy on show too!

Jennifer

Miriam, baby Jennifer's Mummy, was brought this photo shoot as a gift by one of her best friends, who had contacted me directly a week or so before.

It was lovely to meet this new family, which also includes Dan, Jennifer's Daddy. Jennifer is just 4 days old in these photos. Despite all of them being in black and white, (as per the parent's request) the original files are colour. I take everything in colour before changing it afterwards during the post production. 

As usual, I had a car load of props and support aids. I even brought two bunches of giant sunflowers. Jennifer was a real sweetie, snoozing and smiling throughout. As with all my newborn photo shoots, it was very relaxed and natural. No pressure on Mum, Dad or baby to perform in front of the camera. It's just about capturing those precious few first days.

Jacob

Yesterday I had enormous fun photographing little Jacob, who is just 6 days old in these photographs! He was absolutely adorable and very amenable as Mum and I gently maneuvered him into various different positions! 

I seem to have photographed so many gorgeous baby girls lately that it was great to be able to get some 'boy' props out! The boot of my car was packed full of  eclectic objects including an old boot, (which sadly Jacob was too big to fit in!) and a fantastic Tonika truck!

Nurse Honey and Bump!

Honey and her Mummy, Steph, (author of popular blog, Steph Loves Honey) popped into my Cheltenham photography studio this morning for a bump photo shoot. I first photographed Honey when I opened my studio back in November 2014 so it was great to see her back, growing up and with a baby brother less than a week away!

I hope you like the photos. Honey had a fabulous time dressing up as 'Nurse Honey', (as she liked to call herself!) and checking Mummy's temperature, ears, tongue and of course listening in on her baby bro too!

Josie

Yesterday I did a newborn photo shoot with 14 day old Josie at her home in Pittville. She was gorgeous! I arrived a little early, as I always do, to give me time to scope out the house and unload the massive amounts of props I had squeezed into my car! I set a few up in different locations around the house while Mum gave Josie a quick feed before we got down to business.

Josie was very relaxed throughout the course of the 60 minute photo shoot. I take things very calmly and gently. I don't rush or hurry baby or Mum. Often we need to stop for feeding breaks, nappy changes or soothing. During these moments I readjust props and set up the next shot, this makes great use of time and means my clients get maximum photo time. Elena, Josie's Mum, actually commented how impressed she was that I'd managed to take so many photos using so many different props.

Honey Rae

Abi's Bump Photo Shoot

I received an email from Abi in the New Year, she was excited to tell me she'd had a baby girl called Honey Rae! We booked her in for a studio shoot within the week.

In the photos below Honey is just two weeks old. Very cute!

Bump to Birth - Boy or Girl?!

Abi came into my Cheltenham based photo studio a few weeks ago for a bump to birth photo shoot.

To prepare for the session I brain stormed a few ideas and made quite a lot of the props you can see in the pictures. They didn't know the sex of the baby, which made for some great poses. I also shot both boy and girl options for them and their two different ideas for names. 

I really enjoyed their photo shoot and look forward to meeting their new arrival when they return for their newborn session. 

Vivienne

Originally this photo shoot had been scheduled for the 14th December but this beautiful bundle had other ideas! Born two weeks early, gorgeous Vivienne is just five days old in these photos. She weighed a tiny 5lb 4oz,  (I'm not used to such teeny handfuls with my eldest mini mouse weighing in at a whopping 11lb 5oz) and she fitted so snuggly into the props we presented her with, sleeping for pretty much the entire 60 minute shoot! It's hard work being a model!
