Taz booked me for two hours to cover her 30th birthday celebrations recently, and what fun it was! Taz is a true Disney fan, so this was the perfect way for her to celebrate!

A great afternoon with this large family gathering who were celebrating a 60th wedding anniversary! The Greenway Hotel makes for a fabulous venue - I’ve photographed many weddings and events here. On this occasion it was an informal, candid approach that was required, with a good chunk of traditional family photos to start with.

The Lamb's Party!

A lovely morning in Cheltenham photographing this family celebration, and we were treated to the bag pipes too! The occasion began at the family’s home in Montpellier, where there was an informal drinks reception. After an hour or so, the piper arrived, which meant it was time to make our way over to The Ivy for lunch. A lovely walk through the park caught many people’s eye! I left just after the speeches, as lunch was being served. Below are a small selection of photos from the 117 the family received.

The Devlin's

Lovely 30 minute session with the Devlin’s at the weekend, who were celebrating their Father’s 80th birthday. We met at Egypt’s Mill in Nailsworth, which has lovely grounds. We utilised the beautiful old mill building, and the lake. It was quite a lively atmosphere, as the England match was on inside, and a few of the family members were keen to watch the footie! Norman's 70th

Norman booked me to photograph his 70th birthday party two or three months ago. I was there for an hour to capture a large group shot, photos of the cake, the speeches and natural images of guests enjoying themselves. It was a lovely afternoon, in a beautiful setting, and the weather just about held! I particularly enjoy reportage photography as it captures the event in its most natural and honest way. Rose's 70th

Rose booked me for an hour to cover her 70th birthday celebration at Hotel Du Vin, Cheltenham. I’ve photographed a variety of different parties and weddings at this venue, and its brilliant. Gorgeous both inside and out. After welcome drinks inside, we were fortunate to be able to move outside to the courtyard garden. Preeti and David's Wedding Party

Preeti contacted me a few weeks ago to enquire into my availability to photograph an intimate wedding party that herself and her new husband, David, were holding at The Old Lodge, Minchinhampton. They were married last October, but for various reasons, had waited until now to throw a party with close friends and family.

The brief was informal photos throughout the two hour shoot, with a handful of group shots outside on the common, weather permitting. There was a strong musical theme, with sets towards the end from David, his band and his daughter.

Traditional Wedding Dress

I photographed Elin and Clara in January, when they booked me to capture photographs of their engagement. To view the photos from their engagement shoot, please click here.

This time, they wanted photos of themselves dressed in their traditional wedding outfits. They booked me for 15 minutes and we used the grounds of Gloucestershire University, near Pittville. Not a venue I have ever used, but it made a nice backdrop and they had sought approval beforehand from the owners.

John Kidson's 90th

I was recently booked to cover a 90th birthday celebration taking place at Burleigh Court Hotel near Stroud. John Kidson was turning 90, and his daughter, Millie contacted me to enquire into my availability. She booked me for four hours, which covered guests arriving, their sit down meal and a magician, who arrived shortly after they had finished eating.

Not being a motorbike fan, I was completely oblivious as to who John was. In his youth, he had won the Isle of Man TT race a number of times, turns out, he’s a bit of a legend!

The party itself was rather lovely, with a drinks reception, followed by a delicious looking lunch, followed by cake, coffee and magic tricks. My brief was to capture the events as they unfolded. All very candid, natural shots, which is just the way I like it. Below is just a small sample from the 183 photos that Millie and her family received.

Elin and Clara were recently engaged, and to celebrate, they booked me for a 30 minute photo shoot to mark the occasion. We met at the Pump Rooms in Pittville Park, which, given the rather wet and windy weather, provided some decent shelter under which to take the photographs. We also ventured over to the band stand and, after a quick outfit change, we also walked down to the lake. Below is just a small selection from the 57 high resolution files the couple received.

Golden Wedding

Debbie booked me for a 20 minute shoot with her family as they were celebrating her parent’s Golden Wedding anniversary. They were staying at Ellenborough Park Hotel, so I met them in the grand hall, which was looking beautifully festive! Unfortunately, half the family had been struck down with Covid, so it was a much smaller gathering than expected, but the family still enjoyed some group portrait shots to mark the special occasion.

Graduation Photos

Irushika booked me for 30 minutes to take some portrait photographs of herself and her partner to celebrate her recent graduation. I suggested Pittville Pump Rooms as the weather forecast didn’t look favourable and the Pump Rooms provide nice undercover shelter, as well as a magnificent backdrop. Golden Wedding Anniversary

Matt's 50th!

A few weeks ago I was booked for 2 hours to cover a 50th celebration in Prestbury. It was a surprise party, so needless to say Matt was very surprised! What he thought was going to be a quiet drink was actually something quite different!

The brief was informal, candid shots of friends and family enjoying themselves, with a few group photos if requested. Below is just a small snippet of shots, they received around 100 images.

Jaya's 21st Birthday Party!

Florentina hired me for 60 minutes to cover her niece’s 21st birthday party at Bibury Farm Barns, near Bibury. I have photographed Florentina and her family many times now, dating all the way back to 2018, when her eldest son, George, was born. I have since covered his christening, (click here to view the photos from that event) and a couple of other private occasions.

It was lovely to catch up with Flo and her husband, Peter, again. The boys weren’t at the party as it was adults only, so plenty of drinks and delicious food was enjoyed. After a few family photos and shots of the dressed table, it was back to my preferred candid style, capturing people relaxing and enjoying themselves.

21st Birthday Party!

Germaine booked me for four hours to photograph her son’s 21st birthday party, held at Boddington Manor. The theme for the party was ‘Heaven & Hell’. On arrival, guests walked through the pearly white doors of ‘heaven’ before the gates of ‘hell’ were opened an hour or so later. There, they enjoyed a three course meal in spectacular scenery. My brief was to capture all the fun as it unfolded. No formal shots as such, except a few family ones at the beginning of the evening. When I left at 10.30pm, I got the impression the party was just getting started! Below is a small selection of shots from the one hundred and seventy one the family received.
