The Heavens

I recently attended a public meeting at the Sub Rooms in Stroud to show my support for ‘The Heaven’s, a 102 acre parcel of land that is due to be put up for sale. The community have thrown their support behind a campaign to buy the land and preserve it for future, public use. I was there both as a concerned resident, and as a professional photographer.

The Red Band opened the proceedings with a rallying musical display, before the meeting got underway inside. It was a jam packed event, and got a lot of support from locals.

Longfield Hospice - Revisit

Last time I was at the Longfield Hospice in Burleigh, near Stroud, was in May, when I was booked for four hours to capture images of the building and its grounds, the carers, patients, staff and nurses. Click here to see the photos from that shoot.

On this occasion, the brief was to document the gardening green fingers group, plus a few more head shots of some of the staff - both serious and relaxed. It’s always a real privilege to photograph Longfield, given the nature of the work that takes place there. It is extremely rewarding to know that the photos I take will go some way in showing others about all the wonderful things these people do. I also enjoy seeing my images in their monthly publication, which is on the counter of all their charity shops in the county.
