Strawberry Fields Forever

Strawberry Banks, near Stroud, makes an idyllic backdrop for a photo shoot. It is home to various breeds of rare, native butterflies and in the Spring the long grasses climb up around children’s knees, tickling their legs, their laughs carried by the gentle breeze.

Luna and her Mum and Dad had travelled up from London. Bizarrely, they had come across me through my holiday let advertised on Air B and B. When they found out I was also a photographer they booked a session with me on the second day of their stay.

They wanted beautiful Cotswold scenery with rolling hills and fields full of flowers as a backdrop for their photo shoot so I suggested they might want to look at Strawberry Banks. They booked a 60 minute session and as luck would have it, it fell on what was the hottest day of the year so far.

Little Luna sparkled in the sunshine. Mesmerised by the ponies, she then delighted in rolling around the soft, lush glass with her giant teddy before blowing dandelion clocks with her Mum and Dad. There were plenty of cuddles and the long stems of the rape fields made the perfect setting for a little bit of peep-o. Below are a small selection of images from their shoot.
