Karen is a personal trainer and contacted me as she needed new photos for her website. We met at the bridge near Waitrose, on the Honeybourne Line, Cheltenham. It’s a great spot for photos, with the graffiti covered walls and long, linear path that creates good perspective.

Aliki contacted me recently as needed up to date head and profile shots for her new website. I suggested we meet at the Long Table, near where I live in Stroud. It makes for a really interesting backdrop, plus the views along the canal add some nice perspective.

George booked me for a 20 minute photo shoot with his father in law, John, as he wanted some photos to give to John’s daughter as a birthday present. We met in Pittville Park. John was very easy going, and a rather jolly chap, so a real pleasure to photograph! Below are a small selection of images from the nineteen that George received.

I met Tom at his home in Stonehouse for our 30 minute photo shoot. He needed an up to date head shot for his social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn. Charlotte needed some up to date head shots for her social media accounts and so contacted me for a 30 minute shoot. We met at Park Campus in Cheltenham, which is a lovely, quiet spot for photos - great for those feeling a little self conscious. We took a gentle walk around the lake, stopping now and again for a photo. We mixed in a variety of standing and sitting shots. Below is a small selection from the twenty or so images that Charlotte received.

Christina Hughes

Christina contacted me recently as she needed some up to date head and profile photos for her website. I met her at her house in Painswick for the hour long shoot. We began with some formal head and profile shots of her in her suit inside. I suggested a couple of different places where the light was falling nicely, such as the upstairs landing and the stair rail.

We moved outside and went for a walk in her local woods with her beloved dog, Mabel. As is always the way at this time of year, there was the most spectacular Autumn light. We didn’t have to stroll too far, I picked a couple of nice spots where the light was just creeping into the woods and then we walked up to the common, using the lovely vista for a backdrop.

Oakridge School Photos

Last week I was over in the beautiful village of Oakridge to take the children’s school photos. On previous years the school have used more mainstream companies, but the parents complained about the quality of the images and how they didn’t capture the personalities of their child.

This year they opted for me, and what fun we all had! I always try my best to put children at ease, and this session was no different. I chose a nice shady spot under a tree and asked some of their friends to get involved and pull silly faces behind my back. Here is just a small selection of images. I couldn’t share them all due to parent’s photo restrictions.

Lucy got in touch with me recently as she needed some up to date head shots for her online social media profiles. I suggested we meet at Crickley Hill, a spot I use frequently for this type of work. The combination of the woods and wide open spaces gives clients a nice variety of different images. As it was, Lucy also brought along a few outfit changes too.

St Mary's Playgroup

I was booked by St Mary’s Playgroup to take some up to date photos for their website and social media platforms. They also needed some end of year headshots of the children as well as headshots of some of the staff. I spent an hour at their beautiful, outdoor woodland setting. We spent a little bit of time capturing the children playing and having fun, and then a little bit of time taking the more formal pictures. The informal, play pictures can be found here. Naylor Powell Estate Agents in Gloucester booked me for an hour to take a selection of team photos and individual head shots for their website. Gloucester Docks provided a lovely context for the photos. We utilised the boats and warehouses for the backdrops. Head shots are something people never enjoy having done, so I always try and keep it as relaxed and informal as possible.

Our Footprints

Last week I drove over to The Fish hotel, a luxury Cotswold bolthole near Broadway, to take some corporate shots of construction company, Our Footprints, who were spending a few days there on a team building away event.

The brief was two head shots of each staff member, with and without hard hat, a group shot. of everyone and informal shots of a team meeting. I was there for an hour and a half. Below are a selection of images.
