Ewen

Emma booked me for this 30 minute photo shoot at Crickley Hill with her husband and their young son. It was bitterly cold but despite that, little Ewen still had some smiles to share. As can sometimes happen on shoots, little ones just aren’t always in the mood, and this was the case towards the end of the shoot. Despite a few tears, I was still able to capture some lovely shots, which Mum and Dad were very pleased with.

I do lots of family on location shoots at Crickley Hill, and it never disappoints, whatever the weather! For today’s shoot we were blessed with beautiful sunshine, which isn’t always the easiest medium to work with. However, there was a slight haze which provided a great light. The boys had a super time, running along the narrow footpaths. Mum and Dad would occasionally grab hold of them for a quick family picture before they were off again exploring!

Harry & Bee #2

As I mentioned in my previous blog post, Crickley Hill is a super spot for family photos. On this occasion the weather wasn’t so favourable so we headed into the woods to start with. There is a great spot that I’ve become familiar with, it has a large fallen tree and young and old all seem to enjoy clambering over it! It’s a great, natural prop! I’ve photographed Roz and her family before, (click here to see the photos from that shoot) so it was great to see them again for a larger family outing.

Crickley Hill is a great spot for a family photo shoot. It has the breathtaking view, which makes for a very dramatic backdrop, and when the weather isn’t so favourable, the woods provide shelter. On this occasion the sun was trying to peep through and the clouds were clearing so we took advantage of the stunning scenery. The children loved being thrown into the air and on top of the hill, I’m sure it must have felt as if they were flying!

Oliver

This is the second time I have photographed Oliver, (click here to see the previous shoot) and my goodness, I couldn’t believe how much he’d grown! He was still the same cheeky little chap I remembered and what a blast he had as I ran around after him! As with all my photo shoots, I kept things relaxed and informal, the emphasis is always on play and having fun.

Giant January Give Away!

Every Wednesday throughout January I'm running a series of free photo shoots that lots of you have already been snapping up! Last week I was at Crickley Hill and this week I'll be at Pittville Park. Give me a wave if you see me - I'm there all day!

So coming back to Crickley Hill - the photo shoots started at 9.30am and went right through to 2.30pm. There had been such a huge demand that I hadn't even been able to factor in a ten minute break for lunch. It didn't matter though because we all had such fun. Not even Storm Eleanor could blow away our enthusiasm!

Due to the storm, I suggested that the photo shoots be performed in the shelter of the beautiful ancient beech woods. There were only two, slightly older children, who wanted to weather the storm and my goodness it was a job just to stand upright! Thankfully they had taken my pre-photo shoot advice on board and wore woolly hats to keep their hair in place! In contrast, the woods were relatively calm. In fact you wouldn't have even known there was a storm.

The children all very much enjoyed climbing trees, foraging for sticks and hiding in the numerous dens. They balanced on fallen tree trunks, we played hide and seek and even a bit of peep-o too. I think the giggles could be heard for miles! I've selected a sample of my favourite shots from each of the seven photo shoots. I hope you like them!

Free photo shoot January continues this week at Pittville Park and although that day is now fully booked, there will be more opportunities to get involved. Watch this space!

Jasmine

This is the fifth time I have photographed Jasmine and boy does she wear a woolly hat well!

Alexa

This is the third time I've photographed Alexa and I can't believe how much she has grown since the very first time I met her at her cake smash!

Jack

Jack is another little lad who I've photographed on two previous occasions and he's getting cheekier by the minute! Great to catch up with his Mum again too, who is keen to book another photo shoot with me in the Spring.

Oliver & Arabella

Among all the familiar faces it was great to see some new faces too and who couldn't resist these two with all their gorgeous curls!

Joshua & Jackson

Despite only being a few months old, this is actually the second time I've met these Babes in the Wood and the third time I've met Dylan the dog! I did their newborn shoot when they were just a few weeks old.

Molly & Elliot

More new faces and more super cute winter woolly hats!

Sanara

This is the third time I've photographed Sanara. Her Daddy is so tall she could even reach the branch of this tree - just!

The Bowen Family

This is the second shoot I've done for Gemma and Dave but the first time I had the pleasure of meeting the newest addition to their family - Sam! He was just a bump in Gemma's tummy when I photographed them two years ago in Pittville Park. How time flies!

If you would like to book something similar then please get in touch using the form on my contact page or give me a call on 07983 465414. All files are included in the price of the shoot. Thanks!

Lucas & April!

Last week I met up with Claire and her gorgeous family, who had booked one of my popular mini 30 minute park shoots. It was early on a Sunday morning but the children, 4 year old Lucas and his sister, 1 year old April, were very excited!

I hope you like the pictures. If you would like to book something similar please get in touch using my contact page or give me a call on 07983 465414.
