Alfie

As a photographer you come across all types of subjects - those who like to be photographed and those who don't, some who are perhaps a little shy and those who aren't phased at all. Alfie is a lovely little boy but he was quite a challenge to photograph. It was a case of grabbing my chance when I got it and trying my very best to help put him at ease. He was able to relax as the shoot progressed and I am very pleased with the results.

An 80th Surprise!

I had a super time last weekend. With lots of different photo shoots to get to, I spent the majority of Saturday driving through the Cotswolds in the old convertible! If it sounds idyllic that's because it was, but not half as beautiful as the location I had to drive to for this particular photo shoot.

Jill had contacted me just a few weeks prior to see if I might be free for a family photo shoot in the picturesque village of Hawling. Their family had rented a cottage for the weekend to celebrate their Mum's 80th birthday. The one acre grounds were stunning and the daffodils were still looking glorious too.

The three daughters: Jill, Jeanette and Judith were the main focus for the shoot, as Mum and Dad were keen to get some up to date pictures of them. They were a real giggle and up for pretty much anything! Mum and Dad also got in on the action and had a few photos together as well.

CheltenhamMaman

Last Saturday I met up with the lovely Kate Starkey from popular parenting blog CheltenhamMaman. Kate wanted some up to date photos of her and her daughter that she could use on a new blog feature she was writing about.

We met outside Waterstones and took advantage of the iconic red telephone boxes. We then took a slow stroll through town, stopping at The Flower Man on the way up to Imperial Gardens.

The whole shoot lasted for just 30 minutes but as with all my photo shoots, I managed to squeeze in lots of photos! If you would like to book something similar then please get in touch using my contact page or give me a call on 07983 465414. I'd love to hear from you! Thanks.

Far Peak

Laura Williams was the winner of the Ask Baby Cotswold competition. Her prize was an hour long photo shoot at a location of her choice.

Her and her husband own Far Peak Climbing Centre, near Northleach. It was an obvious location for the shoot; their boys love it there.

We started on the woodland assault course before we reached a whole new height - literally! We then calmed things down again and took a gentle walk onto the neighbouring fields.

It was a great hour spent with a lovely family and made for some unusual shots!
