The Moore Family

Rob got in touch with me back in July to enquire about booking a family photo shoot in September. I was relieved he wanted to do the shoot in September as I had to turn a fair bit of work down in July and August due to the imminent arrival of my new mini mouse - no one is ever quite sure if they’re going to be late or early or how the birth is going to go but, as this was my third, and the other two were both late, I was banking on him also being late. As it was he was born at the start of August and the birth was pretty good! I was back on my feet working within just a week or two. It has been great to be out and about again exploring all the corners of the Cotswolds!

Rob and his family had booked a cottage for the weekend over near Broadway. It was a large family affair and as with most occasions that involve multiple children and various four legged pets - pretty crazy! The children were great fun, although the youngest was a little tearful due to a late night the previous evening. Yet despite that, we still managed to get some lovely shots of him, much to the family’s amazement! If you head over to my review page you’ll be able to read their comments - they were ever so pleased with the results, if not a little surprised given the minor melt downs from their little people!!

Barney!

It was a very blowy day when I met Alex and his family on Leckhampton Hill for their 60 minute photo shoot. Little Barney didn’t like the blustery conditions, and after persevering for a little while, we retreated to the shelter of the fields, tucked back from the escarpment.

Sometimes, the best quality one can bring to a photo shoot is patience. Little ones aren’t always keen on having their photos taken, so one has to work closely with the parents to encourage and relax them. It took a good 30 minutes for Barney to come round to the idea, we grabbed the odd shot where we could, mostly while he was sat snuggled in the back pack on Dad’s back! Through playfulness with the leaves on the trees, playing with sticks, being swung hand in hand by Mum and Dad and generally being tickled, teased and cuddled, we got some lovely photos of Barney, who has the most contagious smile! Mum and Dad were really pleased with the photos. Go to my reviews page to find out what they said.

The Newton Family

Laura purchased her 60 minute family photo shoot as a gift voucher for her Mum’s birthday. It was originally meant to take place in Pittville Park but she changed the location at the last minute to her family home, a farm near Swindon village. The farm provided ample photo opportunities, from open fields to a cattle shed to trucks, trampolines and a JCB! It was a lot of fun.

Beau and Matilda

Beau and Matilda’s Mum won this 20 minute photo shoot in a school raffle. She wasn’t keen on being in any of the photos herself, but rather, wanted up to date pictures of the children. We headed to Strawberry Banks, a beautiful spot near Stroud. We didn’t have to walk very far to capture some candid shots of the children playing and enjoying themselves.
