Carolyn and Michael

Carolyn and Michael booked me for 90 minutes to capture their small and intimate wedding celebration at the Queens Hotel, Cheltenham.

They tied the knot at the Registry Office before walking back to the Queens to meet friends and family, and myself. They made a very informal arrival, which was followed by champagne and many congratulations. This couple have been together for 30 years, and were clearly thrilled to be able to finally call each other husband and wife.

After the exchange of rings and speeches, we walked over to Montpellier Park for some group photos. The weather was the best it had been all week - the sun shone, no one could quite believe it!

I offer very flexible wedding packages at very affordable rates. Full or half days, or hourly rates are all available. I’m friendly and have a relaxed, informal approach. I document your celebration in a natural and unobtrusive way.

She said YES!!

Elin and Clara were recently engaged, and to celebrate, they booked me for a 30 minute photo shoot to mark the occasion. We met at the Pump Rooms in Pittville Park, which, given the rather wet and windy weather, provided some decent shelter under which to take the photographs. We also ventured over to the band stand and, after a quick outfit change, we also walked down to the lake. Below is just a small selection from the 57 high resolution files the couple received.

Lucy and Phil

I was booked to cover the full day of Lucy and Phil’s wedding, from 9am right through until 9pm. It was a great day at a beautiful old water mill in the Peak District. The weather was less than kind, it rained all day! I do very few weddings where it doesn’t stop raining, but sadly this was one of them! It didn’t stop the bride and groom and their guests from enjoying themselves though, we even made it outside for some informal couple’s photos on the bridge.

The evening meal was followed by some wild dancing. A ceilidh is always such great fun to photograph. I normally set the flash to rear curtain mode, which allows the action to ‘pop’, creating a lovely rhythmic movement in the photos. Below is just a tiny selection from the 549 images the couple received.

Jess and Ross

Jess and Ross booked me for 30 minutes to capture some informal photos of them following their marriage at Cheltenham Registry Office, which was witnessed by just a few close friends and family. I met them in Montpellier Park, where we were fortunate to have some lovely, dry weather, and some gorgeous Autumn colour. Below are just a small selection of images they received. They contacted me afterwards to say how delighted they were with the photos and have booked me to cover their larger wedding party next May.

Lizzie and John

Lizzie and John booked me for two hours to cover their intimate wedding at Stroud Registry Office. I arrived fifteen minutes early to capture photos of their gusts arriving. Lizzie arrived soon after and was soon being walked down the aisle by her Father. There is something rather lovely about photographing smaller weddings, one feels much more a part of the occasion.

After the ceremony, there was half an hour of formal and informal photos, before John and Lizzie departed for a night out in Cheltenham. Below are a small selection from the shots they received.

Sophie and Michael

Sophie and Michael booked me for four hours to cover their intimate wedding at the Greenway Spa and Hotel, Cheltenham. My half day wedding photography package is very popular with couples, as it offers great value for money - half the price of a full day and still all the best bits are captured on camera.

Sophie didn’t want any bridal shots in the morning so I went straight to the venue, where I photographed Michael with guests arriving. I greeted Sophie and her Father at the entrance on their arrival, before Sophie was whisked away to see the registrars. I continued to take photos of the ceremony room and guests.

The ceremony itself was very intimate. Small weddings often have that lovely, close feeling. Afterwards, we headed straight outside while the weather was still dry and took some informal and formal group shots, plus a confetti shot. They did a mock up of the cake cutting before I left, when they then sat down to eat. Below are just a small selection from the 249 images they received.

Pauline and Kris

Pauline and Kris booked me for a half day, (four hours) for their wedding at The Queen’s Hotel, Cheltenham. I’ve done quite a few weddings and celebratory events at the Queen’s. It’s a great venue, with that infamous staircase!

I met Pauline in her room, where I spent an hour taking some informal photos of her getting ready and some detailed shots of the rings, flowers etc. I also spent some time photographing Kris, who was getting ready in a room just across the corridor.

I headed downstairs and introduced myself to the registrars, before continuing with photos of guests arriving and mingling. The ceremony was rather delightful, with just a small handful of guests, it felt very intimate.

The weather was kind, so we ventured outside for some group photos in Imperial Gardens before some informal photos of the wedding party enjoying a few drinks together in the bar. I left just as they sat down to eat in the restaurant. Below are just a small selection of photos from the 203 they received.
