Alila's Naming Ceremony

I loved photographing this naming ceremony for the beautiful Alila, which took place on August 16th 2015 near Cirencester. I was in my element with so many gorgeous children and babies to take photos of and all in a relaxed and natural setting, fantastic! For the full story and all the pictures click here.

Newborn Photo Shoot - Introducing Ralph

This newborn photoshoot took place nearly two weeks ago but with wedding season at its peak, this is the first chance I've had to sit down and show you the pictures of this gorgeous little boy.

Son to Lucy and Owen and baby brother to Summer, Ralph is just 1 week old in these photos. He was such a cutie, sleeping for pretty much the duration! He woke up momentarily for a feed before deciding that it was all far too much like hard work!

Lilliputs June Concert

On Monday I went along to photograph the always fabulous Lilliput Concert - a classical concert series especially for adults and babies.

This is the third time that Kate Skeet, the brainchild behind Lilliputs, has asked me along to photograph her wonderfully relaxed and child friendly concerts. Previously I have photographed Lilliput Concert's 1st Birthday, (click here to view the photos) and then their Christmas concert, (click here to view the photos). It's always such fun. There is heaps going on, with little ones often clambering onto the stage and clapping along to the music.

Concerts take place on a monthly basis at St Andrew's Church in Cheltenham. The music is proper grown up classical, but in bite sized, toddler attention-span friendly chunks. Each concert lasts for around 40 minutes. For more information go to http://lilliputconcerts.blogspot.co.uk/

The full collection of photos will be going live soon. Watch this space.

Thanks!

Winston's Wish Residential Weekend

Winston's Wish runs residential weekends for bereaved children and young people aged 6 to 18, that is both challenging and fun.

The weekends involve practical and creative activities that encourage teamwork, building confidence and self-esteem. This sets the scene for the children to begin sharing their own stories, to untangle and express a range of feelings, increase their knowledge about death and to continue their individual journeys towards understanding their grief.

Working alongside professional staff and highly trained volunteers, children are given the opportunity to share their individual stories with others in their small group, gain information about what happened through a question-and-answer session with a doctor, take special time to remember the person who has died, explore safely some of the more challenging feelings and responses they may be experiencing and develop ways of looking to the future.

The residential weekend I photographed was focused on children who had lost a parent through illness and accident. Day groups also run for children affected by suicide, murder and manslaughter.

I only spent a few hours with the children, but those hours were probably some of the toughest I've photographed. Having lost my own Mum when I was 11 years old, I found the whole experience very moving. The balloon release at the end was particularly touching. Each had a message from the child to the parent who had died. It was a poignant moment.

NCT 1st Birthday Party

A few snaps from an NCT Birthday Party I photographed a few weeks ago.

Britain's Got Talent

A few weeks ago I headed over to Chipping Campden to photograph Lexi's fairy themed 9th birthday party. It was my first collaboration with The Cotswold Children's Party Company as their official party photographer.

Lexi and her friends were the supper cutest little fairies; they were a delight to photograph, and what a surprise I got when Lexi's Mum turned out to be Britain's Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden.

Like Father, Like Son

Here's the first studio shoot of 2015. Little Dennis had great fun pulling out all the quirky props and throwing the coloured balls around The Mousehole! He was a great character, which I hope comes across in these photos. Throughout January all studio shoots are just £35, that's half price, and include digital images with no copyright restrictions too. Give me a call on 07983 465414 to book your session!

Photographer - Birthday Party - Cheltenham

Just a quick post showing some of my very latest work from yesterday, in Sandford Park, Cheltenham, for a fun kid's birthday party. I love being a children's photographer, especially when the kids are such great models!

Pip & Jims Pentecost, Cheltenham

Last Sunday I was invited by the Revd Nick Davies of St Philip and St James' Church in Leckhampton, Cheltenham, to photograph a part of their family friendly Pentecost Service.

I've worked with Nick many times now, previously capturing shots of their Harvest Festival Service, Crib Service as well as publicity shots for their Christmas cards.

Myself, my husband and two children enjoy the family services, that take place on the first Sunday of each month. It's refreshing to feel so warmly welcomed with the little ones laughing, screaming and shouting, which is actively encouraged throughout the service!

The work I do for Nick and the Church is all voluntary and frequently whilst taking the photos I often find at least one of my children clambering all over me!
